According to the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (Hainan IEDB), the well-known Spanish food and wine company Osborne Group has confirmed its attendance at the first China International Consumer Products Expo, also known as the Hainan Expo. Spanish ham is famous all over the world and is one of the most well-loved products of Spain. 5J Cinco Jotas, a subsidiary of Spain's Osborne Group, is dedicated to producing high-quality, unique 100% acorn-fed Ibérico Ham. At the first Hainan Expo, the group will bring an immersive top-quality ham experience to 5J's ham boutique showroom, allowing attendees to experience the unique charm of this Spanish treasure. In addition, a new artistic image titled"5J Ham Garden of Eden”, created by 5J and Spanish contemporary artist Tito Merello, will be on display to showcase the artistic value of 5J ham.

In addition to ham, the Osborne Group will also bring its flagship spirits, including Carlos I Sherry, Nordes, Montecillo, and Osborne Rare Sherry. Carlos I is a high-end Spanish sherry brand, and 130th anniversary limited edition bottles will be available at the Hainan Expo. There are only 2,000 of these numbered bottles available worldwide and each one bears the signature of the master winemaker.

Jose Iniguez, General Manager of Osborne Group Greater China, said that the Expo brings together the world's leading brands and is a very important showcase platform for the Osborne Group, which attaches great importance to the Chinese market and hopes to expose its brand and products to more Chinese customers.

In January this year, Jose Iniguez visited Hainan to learn about the island’s duty-free policy and the industry makeup of the Hainan Free Trade Port. "After the release of the Master Plan for the Development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Hainan has attracted the attention of global investors.

We are very eager to seize this opportunity and work hand in hand with the Hainan Free Trade Port for joint development," said Jose Iniguez. "Due to the impact of the pandemic, the international duty-free business has been impacted. The Hainan Free Trade Port gives opportunities to import brands and provides domestic consumers with the opportunity to buy duty-free products without leaving the country."
