The Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (Hainan IEDB) released further details of the second China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) on Sunday to mark the 100-day countdown to the event.

As revealed by Hainan IEDB Director General Han Shengjian during the recent Virtual Travel Retail Expo, the follow-up to the highly successful inaugural Expo held in May 2021 will be held from 12 to 16 April in Haikou, Hainan’s capital city. The Moodie Davitt Report is working closely with Hainan IEDB and our strategic partner in Hainan, Hainan Hinews Media Co, to provide dedicated coverage of the event.

The Hainan Expo will once more be held at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition will span over 100,000sq m, 80% of it dedicated to overseas exhibitors across multiple categories including beauty, luxury, fashion, jewellery, food and wines & spirits. France will be the Guest Country of Honour.

The Expo is co-hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government. The event is seen as a critical building block in the master plan for the Hainan Free Trade Port, which is designed to see the island province become a globally influential high-level Free Trade Port by the middle of the century.
